Dear All:

Today is January 15, 2011, the first day of the make-or-break VOTERS REGISTRATION of INEC:

http://inecnigeria.org/index.php?cateid=9&contid= 327

—–

 Registration of Voters 15th – 29th  January, 2011

Pursuant to Section 9(5)  of the Electoral Act, 2010

—-

I would have expected that all the registration sites will be well-known now – on the pages of the newspapers, available to the political parties, on INEC’s website, etc.

So how has registration gone today, everybody?  Did any one take advantage of registering on this first day?

Inquiring minds want to know.  You can use your full name or initials, but please give us your geographical coordinates (ward, city, state, etc.)

 Thanks.

    Dear All,
Let us all be prayerful and hopeful, this registration exercise is quite different from the previous ones, please.I am one of the REGISTRATION AREA CENTRES OFFICERS in OSUN STATE.Though there initial problems but all these will fade away as the exercise progresses.INEC cannot be blamed totally either.I learnt that one of the contractors who was to supply a number of the DDC machines failed to deliver as scheduled but now they are available.Even the ones already supplied needs minor adjustments/configurations before they can function properly. Therefore since some of these teething challenges will definitely need some time to abate,we need to be prayerful so that the exercise will succeed with our support/cooperation.It is quite different from the former arrangements and meant to check effectively multiple registration.Thanks.
