 Ribadu formally picks ACN’s membership  card

Former Chairman of Economic and Financial crime commission
EFCC and Action Congress of Nigeria Presidential aspirant,
Nuhu Ribadu, has formally registered as Party member and
collected his card at Bako Ward of Yola North Local
Government Area of Adamawa.

Ribadu after collecting his membership card, promised to use
his wealth of experience in public service in transforming the
country if he is elected President in 2011.

Ribadu also thanked the people of Adamawa for their massive
turn out and warm reception accorded him and his entourage.

The Adamawa State Chairman of the Party , Ahmadu, said the
party was happy and proud to have a personality like Ribadu as
its member and assured him of members’ support.

Ribadu to Nigerians: Help is underway

Former Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Nuhu Ribadu yesterday formally registered and obtained the membership card of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) on whose ticked he hopes to actualise his Presidential ambition in 2011.

Addressing thousands of ACN supporters and faithful who accompanied him to Bako ward of Yola South Local Government Council where he formally registered, Ribadu declared that “help is on the way” for the teeming mass of Nigerians who, according to him, had suffered under bad leadership in the past.

He thanked the party’s leadership at all levels promising to project the dreams the youths,  as welln as the poor and forgotten members of the society.

The former anti corruption Czar said: “The challenge to rebuild our community today is not in amassing wealth and adding charity; it is to rebuild and improve our Nigerian community to global greatness by empowering our fellow citizens.”

Thanking the people of Adamawa for their massive turn out and warm reception accorded him and his entourage, Ribadu who used the occasion to declare his presidential ambition, promising to promote critical values that will elevate the country from depth of despair to the heights of excellence.

Earlier, the Bako ward chairman of the ACN, Bappa Ahmadu, said the party was happy and proud to have a personality like Ribadu as its member and promised him of their massive support.

Ribadu later paid homage to the Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Muhammadu Barkindo Mustafa.

Rebuilding Nigeria is a big task – Ribadu

Former Economic Financial Crimes Commission Chairman, Alhaji Nuhu Ribadu, on Monday, in Yola, Adamawa State, declared that the task to rebuild Nigeria was a serious matter that must not be handled with kid gloves.

“Rather, whoever is aspiring to the leadership of this country must have the mind and unity to work very hard and assiduously too in order to achieve maximum results”.

The former EFCC boss was in Yola to formally register with the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in his bid to contest for the presidency of Nigeria in 2011.

He said the challenge to rebuild the country was not in amassing wealth and dolling out charity, “but it was to rebuild and improve our Nigerian community to global greatness by empowering our fellow human beings.

“In registering as a member of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), I want to speak widely that I also come to help promote critical values that will remove our country from its current depth of despair.”

He identified the values of good leadership as those of competence, integrity, fairness, respect, humility, justice, equity and above all, the vision to be even greater.

Ribadu was received at the Yola International Airport by Adamawa State Chapter of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) chieftains and large crowd of party supporters.

The presidential aspirant later drove to his Bako Ward in Yola town to formally register with the party and was warmly received by the ward executives led by Alhaji Bappa Ahmadu and was issued a card of the ACN.

He later addressed the party supporters on commitment to the ideals of democracy saying “the Action Congress of Nigeria is a party of today, tomorrow and a party that can stand”.

Alhaji Ribadu also assured the crowd that   Nigerian youths, if he became the president, would be given a conducive atmosphere to actualise their impotentials.
