The Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, on Wednesday froze the accounts of the 18 local government councils in the state.

The governor gave this directive in a statement made available to our correspondent by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Kolawole Olabisi.

The governor warned directors of personnel management in the councils and commercial banks against flouting the order which he said was meant to safeguard the resources of the people.

He urged the civil servants in the councils to be watchful and protect government property in their care, adding that violators of the order would be prosecuted.

It is good the governor, Dr. Mimiko is zooming in on the financial audit of the state; nevertheless, information is as powerful as money at hand or cash-in -money.

This is why, the governor’s zooming lense or telescope should go to the information centre: SITA.

Expectedly, Governor Mimiko reports the huge debt that Dr. Agagu (sacked by Tribunal)left behind deliberately to cripple his God given mandate.

If the Governor thinks what has been revealed to him of the debt inherited from the deposed Agagu is the height of the evil done to cripple his administration; then he had better buckle tight his belt. The degree of information security treat he is facing is like sitting on keg of gun-powder.

The power bloc that managed SITDEC, now SITA,has configured it to be like the vietnam trap; They are already monitoring and sucking privilege information, by extension televiewing what is going on in the state.

The financial debt burden also is that, the government will from time to time be held ransom to continuous payment of agreement & licenses on e-projects and contracts, especially on applications and software developed for the state, by the company floated by people that coordinated the center then, and used friends to front for the organization.

Contracts were hyper-inflated and selfish agreements were made to enrich their purse at the expense of the tax payers of Ondo state.

We have the facts…; this is why we are watching.
