INEC admits abandoning 700,000 ballot papers in South Africa

The Independent National Electoral Commission on Sunday admitted that it left 700,000 presidential ballot papers behind in South Africa…There had been reports that the commission only brought in 30 per cent of the presidential ballot papers it printed in South Africa so as to starve some states of the federation of materials.

    And who will probe INEC? Is it Y’Adua, who is himself a beneficiary of this lawlessness? Is it the NASS, whose members are also beneficiaries? Is it the governors? We should do whatever it takes to send the rigging masterminders, Obasanjo and Atiku, packing by May 29, but after that, Y’Adua and other selected politicians should know that these nonsensical elections cannot be allowed to stand. Nigeria has been thoroughly disgraced in the committee of nations, and if the NASS won’t probe INEC, the judiciary should do whatever it takes to ensure that IWU and his people are brought to justice.
