Blue murders!

Please watch two harrowing videos in Sahara Reporter's website:

One video shows Nigerian security agents interrogating Mohammed Yusuf, the leader of the "Boko Haram" uprising in Maiduguri, Borno State. A subdued and cooperative Yusuf  calmly answered questions asked by the security agents before he was summarily executed by the Nigerian police while in their custody.  [Several mobile-camera video-tapers are clearly visible in this video-clip, so there is a "cloud" of witnesses.] This contradicts statements made by the Nigerian police that he died in a "shoot out".

The other video shows footage that  the source of the clip said was Buji Foi, ex-Borno commissioner and the alleged financier of the Boko Haram sect, being summarily executed by the police. Buji Foi was shown in the clip, which lasts 40 seconds, being taken out of a white Toyota Hilux (pick up van) by an unidentified mobile policeman. Seconds later, Foi who was wearing a long white gown, with both hands and legs chained, was deserted by the mobile police and left to walk alone. Suddenly, the sounds of gunshots (about 53) apparently directed towards Foi rented the air. Foi, who was still standing after six shots, slumped after the 10th shot. As the shooting continued words such as “kill him,” “ba an bada oda ba?” in Hausa meaning ‘haven’t they given the order?” could be heard amidst the chaotic situation.

Foi, after a hail of bullets, is covering his head, and is about to slump

Foi, seconds before his final slump.  The Mobile Police (in hard helmet) is one of several executioners, while the others look on. A Nigerian policeman (with flathead cap) is one of those looking on.

Hi,
I guess yes extra judicial killings are not nice. It seems no one is really making noise about the innocent law enforcement agents that were killed or the innocent civilians that the adherents of the sect killed. Where is the moral outrage over that. We are outraged that Yusuf was killed? This is ridiculous! It seems we do not know our left from our right.

What Yusuf and his acolytes did was wrong but the appropriate response is not another 'wrong' which is why we have laws. Are you suggesting we all take matters into our hands when aggrieved by others? This is exactly what the police did in this and other cases of extra judicial killings!

why are people so religiously biased like my friend who said the police did nothing wrong by killing yusuf the leader of the islamic sect, sentiments apart, the police did the most wrong thing by killing him. it is a clear known fact that it is only the law court that can convict and sentenced or punished. taking yusuf to court i believe will lead to some other revealations, and am very sure some top politicians will be indicted in the process, that was why i believe he was killed. Let's wake fellows, what does yusuf stand to gain by killing some set of people, i believed he was sponsored.

Mr joe siler, i believe you must be a terrorist yourself, because if you associated a religion with terrorism, then you are heading one too
