Agagu and Health Sector in Ondo State

The health sector under Olusegun Agagu has been transformed and well equipped to meet the modern trend. Some of these are:

  1. Rehabilitation of maternity unit & construction of Mortuary at GH Idoani, Accident & Emergency Unit, Ore; Maternity unit, children ward & Pharmacy/x-ray unit Igbara Oke and construction of Fence and gate house at GH, Idanre.
  2. Restructuring of the Ministry and granting of Autonomy to Hospitals’ Management Board.
  3. Support of Local Government Areas for Tubaculosis and Leprosy TBL activities increased from N10,000.00 toN120,000 per L.G.A.
  4. Roll back Malaria Programme: over 48, 911 Insecticide treated long lasting bed nets distributed across the 18 Local Government Areas of the State
  5. 18 rounds of mass free surgeries under the festival of surgeries with over 200 poor patients benefitting
  6. 14 rounds of free operations during the Eye Surgery Programme – “Eye Camp
  7. Over 6,000 citizens received eye glasses and 880cases operated.
  8. 10,000 patients had free screening for eye diseases and 425 free cataract surgeries were done.
  9. Production of official pharmaceutical compendia and reference books for health facilities and 3 health Institutions.
  10. Procurement and installation of 2 units AVRs for State Specialist Hospitals (SSHs) Ikare and Okitipupa (N2.96m).
  11. Civil works for School of Nursing and Midwifery including Phase A hostel, Classroom and Library (N18.8m).
  12. Training of Medical Doctors and other Health Care providers at three different workshops and production of two different National guidelines on screening and management of HIV and 462 record officers from state and local government health institution.
  13. Establishment of life saving skills (LSS) Centre – Okitipupa, Ikare.
  14. Perimeter Fencing/Security work, landscaping and channelisation, renovation of science laboratory and reproofing of three buildings at the School of Health Technology, Akure.
  15. Construction of incinerator/collector for School of Nursing and Midwifery
  16. Purchase of 19 utility vehicles for drug distribution and 24 ambulances for General Hospitals
  17. Establishment of computer units for students of Schools of Nursing and Midwifery.
  18. Procurement of drugs and pharmaceuticals under the Pharmaceuticals Management Programme (PMP) and free drug Scheme (N106m).
  19. Renovation works at Iwaro Oka and new mortuary at Iju-Itaogbolu Medical equipment & furniture provided for Secondary & Primary health facilities (N167.5m).
  20. Construction of mortuary and renovation of Male & Female medical wards, Ileoluji.
  21. Procurement of 30 nos. Intra uterine contraceptive for CHCs in 18 LGAs of the State

Glory to God almighty for what Dr Agagu has done so far in health area, i also thank him for saving my life through his Free Diabetic Operation in which i supposed to N125,000 for. but Gov Agagu put smile into my face and family. and he also made me to had a save of N125,000. I SAY THANK YOU SIR.

This is great achievement for Gov Agagu government, and some says that nothing has done by him, i thank him for free antenantal care fro all pregnant woman in the state. Ride on with good development.

I am short of words about what this action governor has done so far. He is a great man in deed as no leader has brought development to our state like this before.
What i just want to say is that may God almighty continue to add more grease to his elbow in Jesus name. Can somebody say amen!

If anybody does appreciate this, which means that person has dead and not been buried, because we are seriously pray here in UK that Gov Olusegun Agagu must win at Court of Appeal, because most of our family are benefit from this free health programme. Health is wealth JARE.

I am rejoicing with the good people of the Sunshine State,
as the Governor flags-off, the construction of the much awaited Akure Ultra Modern Stadium.

As the Governor of Ondo state turns the sod of the new Stadium complex, the people of the state are full of joy over the breaking of another jinx and the effective take-off of a project that has eluded Ondo State for about 30 years.

With monumental projects like Olokola free Trade Zone, Oluwa Enterprise Park, Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Akure Ultra Modern Market, Construction and rehabilitation of major roads, transformation of Adekunle Ajasin University and Rufus Giwa polytechnic, revo

Those criticizing the Government over Due Process are enemies of progress, they are doing so because there is no time for Chop I chop Politicians in the state ,anymore.

Dr. Olusegun Agagu`s administration is not ready to tumefy Contracts ,nor to put knife on the Sunshine money and share.

The government believes in service delivery through Road Construction, revamping Moribund Industries like Ifon Ceramics,human capacity building, provision of drugs in Hospitals and water for the people.

The government had been able to achieve much because it has value for every kobo spend by the present administration.

Agagu demand kudos for all those he has done in health sector. if such has been done by some of past governor in ondo state, i believe that there would be any disease, and with all Agagu has done we all say well done to his administration. and God will look at this and give him his victory back.
