                         The Moremi Foundation

Dear friends:

Over the last couple of years, the Moremi Foundation Board of Directors  have been working very hard to get to a point where we can begin to solicit for funds in support of some Egbe Omo Yoruba, National Association of Yoruba Descendants in North America (Egbe) programs. Consequently, we believe we have developed an enabling structure that we hope will earn your trust in terms of the Foundation process being transparent, accountable, responsive and responsible. We have researched and complied with the most stringent rules of the IRS Section 501  (c ) 3, by developing a comprehensive by-laws, policies and procedures, as well as complying with all provisions of our Articles of Incorporation as required by the Department of Consumer Affairs of the District of Columbia.

The make up of our Board of Directors has been carefully selected and is made up of people of repute and integrity; Profiles of  Board members can be viewed on our web site. The Moremi Foundation is the Fiscal agent of the Egbe,, which has developed various programs designed to make meaningful contributions to the lives of people in Nigeria. This is why we are sending you this email.  We understand that there may be some skepticism on the part of our potential donors based on the past history of non performance, lack of accountability and/or transparency by some other Nigerian organizations based here in the United States, we do however appeal to you to give The Moremi Foundation the opportunity of proofing otherwise.  Since the “re-birth of The Moremi Foundation” two years ago, we have taken due diligence to ensure that a structure is in place to meet these challenges.

Our people deserve a better way of life and the Egbe working through The Moremi Foundation is leading the way to make a difference. Details of the Foundation’s relationship with  the Egbe  and our intended programs are available on our web site. Our short-term goal is to raise $50,000 for the initial programs. This is the end of the tax year and the best time to make your tax-deductible donations.

We accept donations through PayPay (secured credit card payment) from our web site at www.moremifoundation.org. Personal checks can be mailed to us at:
The Moremi Foundation
 P.O. Box 204
White March, MD 21162-9998.

We thank you for your consideration and should you need additional information or have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us via email at: info@moremifoundation.org or moremifoundation@yahoo.com

Thank you.
Board of Directors
The Moremi Foundation
